 Dara passionately works to overcome the injustices she sees in the legal system.  She was incredibly honored when the Hillsborough County Bar Association selected her to help create the documentary “Before The Law Was Equal“.   This documentary, created in 2013 (and re-released in 2018) effectively shined a light on the Hillsborough Bar Association‘s very first acknowledgment that, for a period of time, the desegregation process actually practiced differed greatly from the desegregation process that had been promised.  The film includes interviews with Judge Don Castor, William Reece Smith Jr., Judge E.J. Salcines, Judge John F. Germany, Judge Mary S. Scriven, and lawyers Lanse Scriven, Gwynne Young, Delano Stewart, Fraser Himes, Marsha Rydberg, and Warren Dawson.
